Overview

RatDrum Lite is a sample-based drum instrument built around one idea: variation should be instant. Point it at a kit folder and the shuffle buttons re-randomize which samples play on each pad — per-pad or the whole kit at once with SHUFFLE ALL. Each of the 7 pads has gain, pan, pitch, and decay controls, drag-and-drop loading, choke groups for realistic hat behavior, and click-to-audition. A master FX chain (drive → lowpass → bitcrush → compressor → reverb) with 9 presets shapes the whole kit. RatDrum Lite is the bring-your-own-kit edition — the full engine with no bundled sample library, so you load your own folders.
