The Featherer

Overview

The Featherer is the woosh-woosh-woosh effect: that fluttering, flapping motion that makes a pad, vocal, or bass feel like it's flying past your head. The trick is that one shared motion signal drives everything at once — amplitude, a resonant filter sweep, and stereo panning — so it sounds like a single gesture instead of three LFOs fighting each other. Shape morphs the motion from a rounded swell to a tight rhythmic chop, Sweep sets how far the filter travels, and Pan sends it across the stereo field. Run it in Free mode in Hz, Sync it to a musical division, or switch to MIDI mode and play the wooshes yourself — when no note is held the audio passes through untouched. Turn up Air and it adds its own filtered noise layer, so it can make whooshes even with nothing coming in.
